We measure success by how soon you no longer need us. We bring each learner to the point where they can carry on independently, and many step their cadence down or move on. We treat that as the right outcome.

When I founded Harland, my goal was to build the exact organization I would want for myself and my own family. That meant bringing together subject-specialist faculty who embody the same growth mindset we aim to instill in our learners. It meant designing a curriculum rooted in each learner's actual goals, rather than generic language exercises. Above all, it meant treating learners as true partners and the ultimate drivers of their own progress.
We are intentionally honest about alignment during our admissions process because Harland is not the right fit for everyone. But for the learners we are right for, one of my greatest joys is hearing that someone no longer needs us. Independent success is the outcome we work toward from the very first lesson.
