A parent's job includes a lot of decision-making about their child's education. Which school, which subjects, which support, which summer program, which tutor when things get hard. Every decision carries weight for someone whose future depends on it.
Harland's job is to remove one of them from your life permanently. Across every subject we teach, your child grows visibly, and you see every stage of it. The whole point is to become the part of your child's education you stop needing to think about.
Harland families stay with us for years. Many enroll their child in more than one subject. And when families leave Taipei, they keep studying with us. That is how our student body now spans three continents and eight countries.
From foundational years through senior secondary and university preparation. 1-on-1, online or in-person, built around each student's goals and pace.
Reading deeply and writing analytically. From early foundations through the university essay.
Mathematics and the sciences taught for genuine understanding of how each subject actually works.
Subject-specialist faculty across a wide range of AP and IB courses. Taught for genuine mastery of the material at exam level.
SAT, ACT, and SSAT preparation for international school students. Personalized curriculums that adapt to each student's specific gaps.
At Harland, your child's teacher is a subject specialist, chosen for the depth they have in what they teach. Faculty come to Harland because the work matters, and they stay because they are trusted to teach the way students actually learn.

Our editorial publication answers the questions parents actually ask. How to choose between AP and IB. What to expect from international school transitions. When to start university preparation, and how. Written by Harland faculty, edited carefully, free to read.

A great educational institute with professional teachers that not only teach with excellence but who adjust lessons to each individual student, according to their needs. That's how learning should be. Thank you Harland teachers!
Our Student Coordinator interviews each new family in a consultation to understand the student's goals, age, learning style, and personality, and matches them with a Harland teacher who specializes in their subject. The student then takes a 1-on-1 assessment class to confirm the right level for their ability and the right fit, before starting a program.
At Harland we call this an assessment class. After a consultation with our Student Coordinator, the student takes a 1-on-1 assessment class. This is where the right level for the student's ability is established, and where teacher fit and learning style are confirmed, before the student begins their first unit.
It varies. Some students complete a single level (typically a year or so) and move on. Others continue across multiple subjects, multiple years, or graduate into test preparation. We design programs with completion in mind: students stay until they can carry their academic load independently, then step the cadence down or finish entirely. We treat that as the right outcome.
Pricing is set by subject and course level. Your Student Coordinator helps you choose the right combination of subject mix, lesson length, and cadence, based on your child's goals and what your family wants to invest.
